Product Description

It is the dried perennial calyx of Diospyros kaki Thunb, family Ebenaceae. The perennial calyxes are collected in autumn and winter when they are ripe or when they are eaten, washed clean and dried in the sunshine. The raw are used.

[ Medicinal Properties]: Bitter, astringent and neutral; relate to stomach meridian.

[ Medicinal Efficacies ]: Check adverse rise of qi and direct qi downward.

[ Clinical Applications ]: Hiccup For that caused by cold in stomach, it is used in combination with Dingxiang and Shengjiang in Shidi Decoction; for that due to stomach heat, with Lugen and Zhuru; for vomiting and nausea due to stomach deficiency, with Dangshen and Dingxiang in Dingxiang Shidi Decoction; for that due to phlegm-fluid retention, with Xuanfuhua and Banxia.

[ Usage and Dosage]: 4.5-9g.

柿蒂为柿树科植物柿Diospyros kaki Thunb的干燥宿萼。主产于四川、广东、广西、福建等地。秋、冬二季果实成熟时采摘或食用时收集，洗净、晒干。生用。

【药性】苦、涩，平。归胃经。【功效】降气止呃。

【应用】呃逆证。本品味苦降泄，专入胃经，善降胃气而止呃逆，为止呃要药。因其性平和，故凡胃气上逆所致各种呃逆均可以应用。治胃寒呃逆，常配丁香、生姜等同用，如柿蒂汤（《济生方》）；若治虚寒呃逆，常与人参、丁香同用，如丁香柿蒂汤（《症因脉治》）；胃热呃逆，可配伍黄连、竹茹等同用；痰浊内阻之呃逆，配伍半夏、陈皮、厚朴等同用；若命门火衰，元气暴脱，上逆作呃，则须配伍附子、人参、丁香等。

【用法用量】煎服，4．5～9g。

【古籍摘要】 1．《本草纲目》：“古方单用柿蒂煮汁饮之，取其苦温能降逆气也。《济生》柿蒂散加以丁香、生姜之辛热，以开痰散郁，盖从治之法，而昔人常用之收效矣。” 2．《本草求真》：“柿蒂味苦性平，虽与丁香同为止呃之味，然一辛热一苦平，合用兼得寒热兼济之妙。”

【现代研究】 1．化学成分：本品含鞣质、羟基三萜酸、葡萄糖、果糖及中性脂肪油等。

2．药理作用：本品有抗心律失常作用，其提取物能对抗氯仿诱发的小鼠室颤、乌头碱和氯化钡所致大鼠心律失常、哇巴因引起豚鼠室性心律失常；本品有镇静作用；尚有一定抗生育作用。

3．临床研究：以柿蒂复方可用来治疗各种原因引起的呃逆，如：大剂量柿蒂（50~100g）煎汤口服，治疗顽固性呃逆17例，治疗时间最短2天，最长1周，均治愈（中医药学报，1999，5：27）；芦根柿蒂散（芦根30g、柿蒂15g、姜竹茹15g切碎研为细末）胶囊治疗热型呃逆38例，痊愈36例，总有效率94％（适宜诊疗技术，2000，3：18）；以柿蒂粉外敷脐部，治疗新生儿脐炎35例，全部治愈，平均治愈时间为5．5天（山西中医，1997，5：50）。
