It is the mineral of iron pyrites- FeS2, family sulphide. It can be collected all year-round. After being obtained, the impurities are removed. Then it is smashed, or calcined with fire, and quenched with vinegar, after which it is ground up or gruond with water, to be utilized as a medicine.

[ Medicinal Properties ]: Pungent, moderate; relate to liver meridian.

[ Medicinal Efficacies ]: Dispel blood stasis and relieve pain; re-joint the bone to heal the wound.

[ Clinical Applications ]: Fracture due to fall and tumble and swollen pain due to blood stasis        It can be combined with Danggui, Zelan and Chishao. It is usually taken orally, in powder form, as in the Baili Powder and Zirantong Powder. Both of these formulas combine Ruxiang and Moyao.

[ Usage and Dosage ]: 3-9g. Decoct first. Usaually it is processed into a pill or powder and then quenched with vinegar, with 0.3g per administration.

自然铜为天然黄铁矿，主含二硫化铁（FeS2）。主产于四川、湖南、云南、广东等地。全年均可采集。采后除去杂质，砸碎，以火煅透，醋淬，研末或水飞用。
